James D’Angelo is a a classical/jazz pianist, prize-winning composer, workshop leader and author on therapeutic sound and the metaphysical.
He holds a degree from the Manhattan School of Music and a PhD from New York University. He has lectured at City University in New York, at Goldsmiths College, and has performed in New York, London, Milan, Helsinki, and on BBC TV. His music is in the repertory of the GloucesterCathedral choir, and has featured in festivals and Virgin Classics. All of his sacred choral music has been recorded by the Washington National Cathedral Choir in USA
Since 1994, James has delivered courses on the theory and practice of therapeutic sound of East and West traditions, through toning, chanting, and overtoning, and tuning forks, for re-tuning and balancing the subtle energy of the chakra energies, and restoring the organs of the body and their associated emotions. He has written the books Healing With The Voice, The Healing Power of the Human Voice, (with CD), and Seed Sounds For Tuning the Chakras: Vowels, Consonants and Syllables For Spiritual Transformation (with CD).
